Statement on the use of “Conflict Minerals” in CPT GmbH products in relation to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act).
The Dodd-Frank Act relates in particular to the raw materials tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold that are mined in conflict areas such as the DR Congo or its neighboring countries (Angola, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, Sudan, Tanzania , Uganda, Central African Republic). Among other things, it is about restricting or preventing trade in these minerals, which come from these conflict areas.
Although CPT GmbH is not subject to the disclosure and reporting requirements of the Dodd Frank Act, we recognize the importance and significance of this reform.
We take our social responsibilities, which environment, health, safety and the
Human rights concerns very seriously and understand that our conduct in business has an impact on our society and our environment.CPT GmbH does not purchase conflict minerals itself or their derivatives directly from metal smelters or other sources in the conflict region.
We work together with our suppliers to create the necessary transparency in the supply chains so that we can provide our customers with reliable information. At this time we have no information that "conflict minerals" are used in our supply chains that directly or indirectly finance violent conflicts and human rights abuses.
Should we discover indications of the presence of conflict minerals in supplier parts as part of our investigations, we undertake to take appropriate action against this.
